Remote Teaching
During my third year school placement the schools were online for 5 weeks. Planning for an online delivery of UoLs commenced. Was a challenging experience, but I learned a lot and allowed me to experience remote teaching

Loreto Community School Milford is situated in Milford, Co. Donegal, having been established as a Loreto College by the Loreto Sisters in 1966. Loreto Community School Milford is a mixed gender community school. 5th Year - Photography & Drawing
Theme: Images of Everyday Life

Aim: Focusing on line, composition and balance, Explore the Images of everyday life in lockdown, Through photography and drawing to create a finished abstract line drawing to translate into a Lino print.

Learning Intentions

  • To understand the task set, to capture photographs of everyday scenes within or outside their household

  • To know how to use line, shape and composition to create good quality drawings.

  • To understand how timed drawing exercises can be a good technique to create a body of work

  • To be able to create  successful and interesting design drawings


Learning Outcomes

  • Research strand

  • use critical and visual language to describe an artwork

  • experience the natural and built environment as a source of inspiration

  • draft a selection of drawings and studies that support their ideas and work

  • Create strand

  • interpret primary sources including the natural world as a source of inspiration

  • develop, experiment with and edit their work

  • Respond strand

  • recognise the artistic thinking and elements in their own work and that of others
